What is Agricultural Education?
The agricultural education program prepares individuals to teach agricultural sciences and business, as well as related subjects in junior high, high school, or college. Students can also pursue careers in agricultural service industries.
To earn teacher certification in Indiana, graduates must have either 4,000 clock hours of unsupervised agricultural work experience or 1,500 clock hours of supervised work experience in agriculture. Faculty of the Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education coordinate the agricultural education curriculum.
