This past week, several students gathered in Agricultural Administration to discuss and brainstorm events and opportunities that were discussed when Beth Theobald spoke with the students in YDAE 240. The opportunities that were brought up were a College Student Exchange (CSE) and "Adopt and Ag Class." The CSE is an opportunity for the AgEd students to host alike students here at Purdue for a weekend and really share what Purdue AgEd is all about. Another weekend, Purdue AgEd students will road trip to the university or college that was hosted at Purdue. Similar activities will take place as our students venture to a new university for a weekend. With the "Adopt an Ag Class," our students will have the opportunity to "adopt" an ag class in the state and really connect with that program/chapter. Students can connect via skype and other tools. They will even be able to teach lessons via skype, or in person if it is possible. The purpose of this program is really to allow students across the state to connect and get to know the AgEd students at Purdue. If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please contact Beth Theobald for more details on how you can get involved.
